Hebrews 9
27 And as it is appointed
for men to die once,
but after this the judgment,

28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.
To those who eagerly wait for Him
He will appear a second time,
apart from sin, for salvation.

1. One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my example is He!

Refrain

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

Calvary

2. One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

3. One day they left Him alone in the garden,
One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

4. One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

Revelation 1:7

5. One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glories will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

2. Spanish

Un día que el mal imperaba más cruel;

Coro

Vivo, me amaba; muerto, salvóme;
Y en el sepulcro victoria alcanzó;
Resucitado, él es mi justicia;
Un día él viene,
Pues lo prometió.

2. Un día lleváronle al monte Calvario,
Un día enclaváronle sobre una cruz;
Sufriendo dolores y pena de muerte,
Expiando el pecado, salvóme Jesús.

4. Un día la tumba ocultarle no pudo,
Un día el ángel la piedra quitó;

Un día en su gloria el Señor brillará;

3. Português

1. Um dia encheram-se os céus de louvores,
quando no mundo reinava o mal.
Cristo desceu e nasceu de uma virgem,
para trazer-nos o amor divinal.

Refrão

Vivo, ele amou-me; na cruz, salvou-me;
e o meu pecado na tumba deixou.
E, ressurreto, justificou-me;
um dia, em glória, Jesus voltará.

2. Um dia Cristo subiu ao Calvário,
onde o pregaram na cruz de amargor;
em grande angústia, por nós rejeitado,
para remir-nos morreu o Senhor.

Ressuscitou, conquistou a vitória
e, junto ao Pai, intercede nos céus.

4. Um dia, ao som da gloriosa trombeta,
Cristo Jesus em poder voltará.
Entre os remidos de todos os tempos,
em grande glória o Senhor reinará.
