THE LORD IS OUR REDEEMER

 REDEMPTION – Spiritual Blessings in Christ

·         Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. [NKJV]

THE LORD IS OUR
COMPASSIONATE HIGH PRIEST

HE IS OUR HELPER (*)

(*) LORD: Jesus Christ is “King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16; with Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:10-11)

Give Thanks!

1º)  Firstly, It is important to emphasize that the Redemption is Costly (Psalm 49:7-9)

- "Psalm 49:7 Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life, 8 for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice, 9 that he should live on Forever  and never see the pit." [ESV]

2º) Jesus Paid the Price for Our Redemption!

3.1.1 Consequently, Give Thanks for His Redemption!

• Psalm 107:15 Let them give thanks to the Lord for His faithful love
and His wonderful works for all humanity. 16 For He has broken down the bronze gates and cut through the iron bars. [NKJV]

 • 1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. [NKJV]

 • Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, [NKJV]

 • Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. [NKJV]

 • Colossians 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. [NKJV]

 • Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. [NKJV]

SERMON
(1 Samuel 7:12)

COME, THOU FOUNT
OF EVERY BLESSING

1. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.

2. Sorrowing I shall be in spirit,
Till released from flesh and sin,
Yet from what I do inherit,
Here Thy praises I’ll begin;
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Here by Thy great help I’ve come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,

3. Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood;
How His kindness yet pursues me
Mortal tongue can never tell,
Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me
I cannot proclaim it well.

4. O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

5. O that day when freed from sinning,
I shall see Thy lovely face;
Clothed then in blood washed linen
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry,
Take my ransomed soul away;
Send thine angels now to carry me
To realms of endless day.

O Signore, nostra rocca - Noi Te sol siam qui adorar,

In Te sol noi confidiamo - deh, tu ciba i nostri cuor.

1. Fuente de la vida eterna
Y de toda bendición.
Ensalzar Tu gracia tiérna
Debe cada corazon.
Tu piedad inagotable,
Abundante en pérdonar,
Único ser adorable
Gloria a Ti debemos dar.

2. De los cánticos celestes
Te quisiéramos cantar,
Entonados por las huestes,
Que lograste rescatar.
Almas que a buscar viniste,
Porque les tuviste amor,
De ellas Te compadeciste,
Con tiernísimo favor.

3. Toma nuestros corazones,
Llénalos de Tu verdad,
De Tu Espíritu los dones,
Y de toda santidad.
Guíanos en obediencia,
Humildad amor y fe;
Nos ampare Tu clemencia;
Salvador propício sé.

(Letra 1)

1. Fonte és Tu de toda bênção;
vem o canto me inspirar;
a misericórdia Tua
quero em alto som louvar.
Oh, ensina o novo canto
dos remidos lá dos céus
ao Teu servo e ao povo santo
p'ra louvarmos-Te, bom Deus!

2. Ao Senhor eu agradeço,
pois Jesus me socorreu
e, por Sua graça, um dia
vai levar-me para o céu.
Eu, perdido, procurou-me,
longe do meu Deus, sem luz;
dos pecados meus lavou-me
com Seu sangue o bom Jesus.

3. Devedor à Tua graça
cada dia e hora sou.
Teu cuidado sempre faça
com que eu ame a Ti, Senhor.
O meu ser é vacilante:
toma-o, prende-o com amor,
para que eu, a todo instante,
glorifique a Ti, Senhor.

(Letra 2)

1. Fonte Tu de toda bênção,

Vem o canto me inspirar;

Dons de Deus, que nunca cessam,

Quero em alto som louvar.

Oh, ensina o novo canto

Dos remidos lá dos céus

Ao teu servo e ao povo santo,

P’ra louvarmos-Te, bom Deus!

2. Cá meu Ebenézer ergo,

Pois Jesus me socorreu;

E, por Tua graça, espero

Transportar-me para o céu.

Eu, perdido, procurou-me,

Longe do meu Deus, sem luz;

Maculado e vil, lavou-me

Com seu sangue o bom Jesus.

3. Devedor à Tua graça

Cada dia e hora sou;

Teu desvelo sempre faça

Com que eu ame a Ti, Senhor.

Eis minha alma vacilante:

Toma-a, prende-a com amor,

Para que ela, a todo instante,

Glorifique a Ti, Senhor.
